What Our Pest Control Visits Cover
Last updated: October 2026
Rhode Island Pest Pros provides pest control work described in the estimate, service agreement, or appointment confirmation. Depending on the approved scope, this may include inspecting accessible areas, identifying reported pest activity, applying or placing appropriate products, and explaining preparation or follow-up steps.
We perform pesticide work in accordance with applicable Rhode Island licensing and DEM requirements, the Rhode Island Pesticide Control Act (R.I. Gen.
Laws § 2-13), and federal pesticide registration and label-use rules, including FIFRA and 40 CFR Part 156. Products must be used as labeled; disposal is handled under applicable requirements, including RCRA hazardous-waste rules where relevant.
Safety information is provided as required by applicable rules, including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard when it applies. Services do not include repairs, sanitation, wildlife removal, structural work, or treatment beyond the agreed scope unless separately approved.
Government agencies such as EPA, USDA APHIS, and the Rhode Island Department of Health have regulatory roles; they are not parties to our service agreement.
Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit
Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method we make available. We confirm the expected service date and any access or preparation instructions before the visit.
Please provide accurate property details, ensure the technician can reach the agreed areas, and tell us about relevant access limits or safety concerns. Contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or move an appointment; any cancellation charge or notice requirement will be stated in your estimate or service agreement, if applicable.
If no such term was agreed, contact us promptly so we can discuss options. Weather, unsafe conditions, access problems, or other circumstances may require rescheduling.
A technician will not perform work outside the approved scope without your authorization. If inspection shows that different or additional work may be needed, we will explain the proposed change and any price adjustment and seek your approval before proceeding. A schedule change does not itself authorize added work.
Estimates, Charges, and When Payment Is Due
An estimate describes the work and price we expect based on the information available and the areas we can assess. It may need revision if site conditions, pest activity, access, or your requested work differs from what was described.
We will explain a proposed change and obtain your approval before performing added work. An estimate is not a promise to treat conditions outside its stated scope.
The written estimate, service agreement, or invoice will explain the applicable charges, payment timing, and accepted payment methods. Unless that document states otherwise, payment is due as shown on the invoice.
Please raise any billing question promptly and provide the invoice or appointment details so we can review it. No price, financing offer, or payment arrangement is created by these general terms alone.
Taxes or other applicable charges will be identified in the quote or invoice where required. You are responsible for charges for work you approved, subject to applicable law and the written terms for that service.
Written Terms Govern Any Service Warranty
These general terms do not create a pest-free guarantee or promise a particular result. Pest activity can depend on conditions outside our control, including entry points, neighboring properties, sanitation, weather, and changes in the home.
If Rhode Island Pest Pros offers a warranty or follow-up coverage for a particular service, its written terms will state what work is covered, how long coverage lasts, and how to request service. Coverage applies only to the work and conditions described there.
Unless the written warranty says otherwise, it does not cover new or unrelated infestations, untreated areas, damage, or conditions that arise after service. Failure to follow written preparation or access instructions, or changes to treated areas that interfere with the work, may affect coverage as allowed by the warranty.
Ask us before work begins if you want clarification. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
Responsibility for Service and Existing Conditions
To the extent permitted by law, Rhode Island Pest Pros is responsible for direct loss caused by our failure to perform approved work with reasonable care. Where legally allowed, our liability for a claim related to a service will not exceed the amount paid for that service.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, building defects, pest activity outside the treated area, or results affected by conditions beyond our reasonable control. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection rules.
Pesticide work must follow applicable Rhode Island licensing and DEM requirements, the Rhode Island Pesticide Control Act (R.I. Gen.
Laws § 2-13), and federal registration and label directions under FIFRA and 40 CFR Part 156. Applicable disposal and workplace-safety requirements also remain in force, including RCRA rules and OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard where relevant. Nothing here replaces those legal duties or permits off-label pesticide use.

Daniel Mercer
Service Expert at Rhode Island Pest Pros
I started in pest control in Providence, where older homes, stone foundations, and busy basements make careful rodent and termite work part of the job. I built this company to help Rhode Island property owners get clear answers and treatments suited to local homes and seasonal pest pressures.
